At The Thrifty Mumma, we want you to love what you order! If something’s not quite right, we’re happy to offer an exchange or store credit, as outlined below. This policy operates in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees a refund, repair, or replacement for faulty or misrepresented products.
Change of Mind Returns:
To be eligible for a return or exchange:
- Items must be unused, unworn, and in original condition
- All tags, labels, and packaging must be attached
- Items must be returned within 14 days of receiving your order
We make every effort to provide complete and accurate product information on our listings. It’s the customer’s responsibility to ensure the product suits their specific needs before purchasing.
Excluded Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, we can’t accept returns on the following items:
- Pacifiers
- Bottles
- Teethers
- Breast pumps or accessories
How to start a return:
To request an exchange or store credit, email us at contact@thethriftymumma.com.au. Once your return is approved, we’ll send you instructions on how to send it back.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is deemed faulty.
Faults or Damages
If you believe your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll assess the issue in line with Australian Consumer Law and may consult our suppliers for support.
Delivery DamagesÂ
If your package arrives damaged, let us know immediately. We may ask you to provide photos of the packaging and any affected items so we can help resolve the issue quickly.
Exchanges & Store Credit
Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll confirm the outcome via email.
- Exchanges are subject to availability. Any price difference will be shown at checkout.
- Store credit will be issued via your online account (linked to your customer email) and is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
Please note: Refunds are not offered for change-of-mind purchases. Refunds are only issued for items that are assessed and confirmed as faulty or misrepresented, in line with Australian Consumer Law.
 Order Cancellation:Â
Please check your order carefully before checking out. However we are happy to help if you need to change order details. Contact us here, or respond to your order confirmation email ASAP. Due to our fast dispatch times, we can't guarantee that your order can be cancelled, changed, or amended.
Please note that an administrative fee of 10% may be deducted when choosing to cancel an order. You will be advised of this fee upon requesting your order cancelation.Â
Sizing & Images
 All items on our website are accompanied by detailed information including their dimensions. Please take care to consider whether the specific product is right for you before confirming your order. Every endeavor is made to represent our products as accurately as possible, However, actual colours and prints may vary slightly due to product manufacturing changes, as well as imagery being viewed on different screens. Â

Yes—for hygiene reasons, we can’t accept returns on pacifiers, bottles, teethers, or breast pumps/accessories.
We totally get that sometimes things don’t work out—but for hygiene and safety reasons, dummies dummies can’t be returned for change of mind, even if the packaging is sealed. As they’re a personal use item that goes in a baby’s mouth, we can’t resell them once they’ve left our care.
By not accepting returns on dummies, we ensure that every customer receives a product that’s brand new, unused, and handled with the highest safety standards. It’s a non-negotiable part of protecting your little one.

If the return is due to a change of mind, shipping is at your cost. If the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we’ll cover the return shipping.
Yes, as long as the item meets our return conditions and the style/size you want is available. Just pop your request in your return email, and we’ll do our best to make it happen!
Store credit is issued through your customer account, which is linked to the email used to place the order. It’s valid for 3 years, so you’ll have plenty of time to use it.
We’re super speedy with packing orders, so changes aren’t guaranteed—but if you email us straight away, we’ll do our best! A 10% admin fee may apply to cancelled orders.
We’re so sorry! Please email us right away with your order number, a description of the fault, and a few clear photos. We’ll review it in line with Australian Consumer Law and offer a refund, replacement, or repair where applicable.
Toddlers aren’t eligible for returns—but we do stock lots of goodies that might help!
