What is a TOG Rating?
TOG stands for 'Thermal Overall Grade' and is a unit of measurement for insulation and warmth of sleepwear and bedding. In simple terms, a lower TOG rating means lighter fabric, while a higher TOG rating means more padding and insulation. The key is choosing the right TOG based on the temperature of your baby’s sleep environment.

How do I choose the right TOG rating for my baby?
Love to Dream suggest parents follow these three simple steps:
- Prior to selecting a sleep product Love to Dream recommend having a good understanding of the temperature of your baby’s room.
- Always look for the ideal room temperature guidance on the products to help your selection.
- Follow the recommended clothing by room temperature within the TOG temperature chart.
