What exactly is a TOG rating? | ErgoPouch What to Wear Guide

You made have heard of the term TOG when it comes to your babies sleepwear. But what does it actually mean?

TOG stands for 'Thermal Overall Grade' and is a unit of measurement for insulation and warmth of sleepwear and bedding. In simple terms, a lower TOG rating means lighter fabric, while a higher TOG rating means more padding and insulation. The key is choosing the right TOG based on the temperature of your baby’s sleep environment.

 

How do I know which tog my little one needs?

The ErgoPouch range is designed to make sleep simple, with TOG-Rated Pouch suited to your Room Temperature. They currently have four different TOG rating features within the range.

0.2 TOG Cool Pouches are perfect for temperatures over 22ÂșC

1 TOG Mild Pouches are perfect for temperatures between 20-24ÂșC

2.5 TOG Warm Pouches are perfect for temperatures between 15-21ÂșC

3.5 TOG Warmest Pouches are perfect for temperatures between 12-19ÂșC
